A wonderful, new Idea
Hello Mighty Gods of the Akanbar Pantheon. This is just a little something that i wrote up in regards to the Dragons. I personally would love to see this expanded upon and/or implemented into the world of Akanbar. I do have some great ideas as far as potentially implementing it, but the main point of this is to cause a new layer of conflict for the entire realm. I tried to keep it in relation to the history as best i understand it.
Also, I don't check this email except to actually send things. Please message me in game or message me on the Akanbar forums. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The Return of the Dragon Wars.
So came a time where the land trembled with unease. Earthquakes became a common occurance and from the east, large volumes of ash spewed forth covering the land in a blanket of darkness. Oblivious to the meaning of these events, Golgonath spread lies and deciet claiming that this was a sign of the coming end of Elysium.
From the West remained the only source of light. Elysiums united and advanced their attacks hoping to put this world right and again bring light to the whole of the world.
Ysallyra, however, had been waiting in great anticipation. With the aide of the Shamans they were well aware of the what was happening. They could feel the insides of the earth cry out in anger and in pain. For within the deepest caverns was an Epic battle between two immortals occuring.
Drakan, immortal Dragon, created in the image of Krakus defended off the onslaught of Kal'Shaamlak. By the will of Karakus, these two creatures of enormous power were forced to reside in the deepest of caverns for the rest of time. This epic battle had been hidden from mortal eyes for many centuries.
With each passing year, the gods gradually grew less concerned with the Dragons until at last it was just a memory. Forgotten, these two dragons waged an endless war against each other.
In these passing years though, man gradually unlocked many secrets of the arcane arts. This filled the very earth with the same energy which, with time, sunk into the deepest part of the earth itself. Drakan felt the immense power within the walls around him and with great effort absorbed it within himself. Thus enfusing him with far more power then the Gods themselves could have even predicted possible of such a specimen.
Drakan overwhelmed his opponent leaving him all but dead at deepest part of the world. He then burst through the very cavern which was meant to imprison him, searching the depths of the world for the rest of his liken in hopes to restore their former glory and to oppose the Gods themselves for such cruelity.
Left to die, Kal'Shaamlak cries out, hoping only that his roar will be heard as a lasting reminder to the whole of the world of the injustice of which was served to him. Time came to pass and Kal'Shaamlak remained undieing for he was immortal, yet unable to heal from the vicious wounds he had recieved. Fate stepped in it seems for a single symbiote had found itself forced to dive to the deepest parts of the world.
Kal'Shaamlak infused the symbiote within and it allowed him to recover from his wounds. A dragon reborn, he spent some time understanding this symbiote which he was now host to. With time, they grew a close companionship and both their minds were one. Now a single entity, the transformation which was endured made Kal'Shaamlak unrecognizable but gave him powers that the mortal minds could not fathom.
Ashamed of his former name and the failures he lived with it, he tossed it aside and called himself
"Raklorn'Ga". Determined to seek vengence upon Drakan he followed the path which was forcibly created by Drakan. Until at the end, he had emerged from the crust of earth and his eyes witnessed a sight he thought had been impossible to see again.
So it came that two mighty dragons returned from the depths of earth to reign supreme. The Divinity of the land stunned with awe watched as the land was torn apart.
Humanity shocked the whole of the pantheon though. Far more powerful now then before, man unitied to rid this land of gruesome beasts which errupted from its earth. Golgonathians, Elysians, and Ysallyrians took up arms in an effort to silence these beasts.
So it stood that the union of man stood against the beasts from within. The very Pantheon both shocked and in awe for they bare witness to their creations reaching new heights. However, for the first time, the Gods feel a shiver crawl through their bones as they come to realize that if united, humanity could stand against the Divinity as well...
To the Players of Akanbar:
I sent this to the Divine many months ago. I present this now to hear how this idea is received by the player base. It should be stated that this idea, althoug not implemented was recieved well with the Divine i spoke to about it. Also, i present this to all for so that we might better assess where we 'want' the world of Akanbar to move and in what direction. I have stated, and will do so many times over again, it is my opinion that the timeline needs to move forward. If not this idea, another, i care not, but i want to see something that pushes the world forward into time.
