I'm going to say I'm actually against something for once. I hate signs, they always end up being misused and just turn dumb. If they could only be written on by certain people, that would be different.

also an idea for all the weapon swingers out there: a skill that increases the speed of your attack slightly when wielding a 1 handed weapon and nothing in the off hand? would make a fencing style viable, and even possibly make use of... speedier weapons that never get used? hehSeig is rather Dashing and Charming no?

I like the idea of more mobile npc's, and it would offer a few more quests up for when we are all just bored and wandering around.
Ashrabia's idea's on the spies, partial on but I still feel like they should only serve basic purposes though perhaps you could hire a spy that does an exact task?
I hate signs.
Seig's one handed is interesting, but assassin's don't use shields and it would be even more unfair to boost their speed with everything they have at hand. Perhaps if we had more miners in the lands or an easier way to get better ores you would be more inclined to actually use different weapons. Aaridan used to use a rapier for sparring because of its speed and worked better for parries, its more so I think about personal preference. I think I have a kryllian morning start somewhere lying around actually.
Idea: We kidnap the Jaethor and hold him for ransom.Commander Joscelin says, "Sup puppets."

Only if you could get away with it, I don't need any more divine wrath coming down on me... I think I've had my fill thus far lol.
I have had a few idea's brought to me that I hadn't thought up, though its nothing I can or will go into since its already stuff that we have around the realms.
I like where this is going, I would love to keep Lord Jaethor in a special box upon my mantle. I'm sure I would never have another keep sake anything like that of a box to hold a divine, even after he escapes.Commander Joscelin says, "Sup puppets."

ha ha ha ha ha, well, since this is the idea thread and this conversation has taken a very creepy turn, let's get back on topic! Ideas, fellas (and lady). Potentially ones not making me add an extra lock to my front door.Tick tock goes the clock until you feel my ire. You'll lose your voice and turn to rock and lose what you desire.

I'll be honest, you lot. While I can't speak on Zycandos's behalf, I can estimate what would be said, which I agree with.
Knight (templar/black legion/warriors) are all balanced to be more power, less speed. If we were to add in a feature that changes the scales, you're effectively creating a new class of knights. We offer an assortment of weapons for players to experiment with to change their speed, attack and defense. We speed up knights. DPS shoots up with it. Knights don't need more DPS. They're already #1 in DPS. Sure, physical defense goes down and you lose shield-related skills, but when you're sparring with guilds whose attacks aren't stopped by physical defense like tower shields, you're basically asking for an advantage over a guild already weaker than you.

Idea:
Ocean waves while at sea. It'd be an interesting dynamic to have a massive swell push your ship in a direction, possibly pushing you into a rock formation. If you were to go head first into this massive wave, you might have moved 5 locations, but because the wave was so strong, you didn't move at all... so now you are 5 locations back from where you thought you were going to be. Or if it comes from your starboard side, you are 5 locations farther to your port side than expecting.
I'd love to hear thoughts on this idea? I mean... traveling by sea is... a great deal of fun. For me anyways. I'd love for more advances in the sea.

Random Events which have real consequence...
For instance, why not have something random that you have 'chance' across in order to see. The Docks of every city and village are now able to be attacked. Why not have them randomly be attacked and the choice to defend them with little knowledge of a reward or incentive. Take Travanok for instance... If i happened to be questing there and saw their harbor being attacked by three or more Galleons, I'd have a choice to make... Come to their aid... or let their harbor burn to the ground... The consequence would be that Travanok would loose the ability to trade by water. This might would make no difference to me as a Golgonath citizen being that Travanok is occupied currently. However, what if it also stopped me from doing shipyard tasks? That would concern me personally.
The flip side, if you did successfully stop the enemy from attacking Travanok, you might be rewarded with a random item of value... gold... and/or influence within their village. All of this could be applied to City docks as well. I don't think we as players place enough value upon our docks... lets make them a priority. Considering how big the ocean is... the potential that exists there... Meh...
Another idea... Right now the only mortals that use carts, are those that have a need for it. Primarily those of the Merchant skills... Or those that bought some ridiculously heavy item... and need to go pick it up. I am thinking along the same lines of Shipyard tasks... but could we implement something like a Cartyard task? lol... stupid name... but those that know what I am talking about should know what this idea suggests.

I feel like you're more task-happy than me and that takes a lot...
I agree with Nakarym (those words taste terrible) on the dock bit. There's not much I can add to it. (Just a side note, Nakarym, your quoting failed).
Carts suck. Tasks around Carts (though any more ___tasks within a year of today would make me insane) sounds like you're trying to slap a label on something unfun and call it a day. Excuse me as I get back to my... paperworktasks.Tick tock goes the clock until you feel my ire. You'll lose your voice and turn to rock and lose what you desire.
