Anyone can wield a torch and throw it, correct. But it seems to take a skill to be able to look into adjacent rooms. Which, granted it may be low (I've not yet found it or learned it), it leaves new people at a big disadvantage, not to mention if you're out across the land and your last torch just happens to crumble, leaving you stranded until daytime. At least be able to see where you are going decently at night, room by room, without being able to squint in directions or see what is lying in a location.

I know the Shadow Warrior's have skill planners, but when you ask someone about a skill, or what skills you can look forward to...a lot of people won't tell you, and it's like, Really? I don't get it. It more or less just results in wasted crystals when you could be putting them towards getting usefull skills now...if only you had known. The Strong may rule the Weak, but the Clever will always rule the Strong.

As for the nightsight skill that you want. Certain guilds can make themselves glow/have weapons that glow / make crystals. As for looking via the moon, it wouldn't be the same quality as looking with a torch, etc. I'm not sure how they would make this work if they did make the moon light up the area, as you would pretty much realistically see just dark blobs. Also, it would have to change for when you go inside/weather. Honestly, if I were a coder, I'd just leave it as is, but as I'm not a coder, I'll just go back to my cave.Sir Ichiban drools all over himself.
You say, "Ready? Ready?"
You say, "Go get it!"
You throw a light crystal to the up.
You have recovered balance.
Sir Ichiban is no longer following you.

How about this? Ask me. I have all of the generals to unsurp. I've had Melee, Warfare, Assassination, Toxins, Mining, Cooking, Smithing, Tailoring, Apothecary, Merchantry, Rituals, and Shadows all to unsurp. The rest, most of them I've had to high insightful/exceptional, except for Earthlore. Just ask me.

You just need to find the gems and not focus on the lumps of coal.
...please stop trying to make Akanbar into an IRE mud. You kept doing this before.

1) Not trying to make it into an IRE mud. Every mud I've ever played has a general Riding skill, just like there is Weaponry, etc. It's just a given. Also, if you read, I suggested that something could be put in to where you at least have a sense of where you are going when walking across land at night, without being able to see what's on the floor or in the room without a light, including npc's. Also, if entering a building or cave, of course you would still need a light. The Strong may rule the Weak, but the Clever will always rule the Strong.

If you make warfare-like skills open to all people, rather than the three guilds it is in, you just made one third of those three guilds rather useless, as one third of their skills are "Hey, let's go learn how to ride mounts better to improve our battle prowess".
Galloping: Being able to bolt through a room without seeing who or what is in it, until you run out of a straight path.
Scooping: Higher up Riding would allow people to pick things from the ground without having to dismount first.
Fording: Being able to move your horse through water without swimming
etc
The potential list goes on. It would be a passive skillset seeing as how Akanbar doesn't seem to have anything such as increased damage/attack for mounted individuals. The Strong may rule the Weak, but the Clever will always rule the Strong.

the trick of it all is, most of that, is already covered.
in warfare, along with a few other skillsets, there are similar skills.
scooping... is already effective. You give the body of Mordikhan, Dragon of Bronze to Silas.
Silas says, "You just handed me a dragon."
You say, "Yes, yes I did."
Silas slowly takes a step back.
Silas blinks.
Silas has just walked south.

emotes in tells
Okay, I am not trying to say I have never done this myself, or that someone else doing it has some problem or anything, but emotes in tells... Sowenso tells you "-hugs-."/"*pokes*" Can we agree this is not in role? If the tell is supposed to be in character that is, meaning two people are engaging in some kind of telepathic dialogue, then they cant lick, poke, hug, each other etc, or see what the other person is actually doing. Am I right or wrong here?Charlotte Mayfair
