Vista is like Windows ME. Doomed to be completely voided from the collective memory of the human race. O_o Try Windows 7 64bit version. Haven't experienced any problems with it so far. Get the OEM version too, they sell those under the counter for like a hundred bucks or something. It's cheap and the only difference is that you can't upgrade to other versions, like home to professional. Don't even need any versions higher than home unless you want to run a small business. o.o
I don't have Vista anymore. Unless my computer is jonesing for some memory because of it's previous relationship with Vista, it shouldn't be gobbling up memory, should it? But uh, I think changing OS is a bit impossible for me ATM. I had to use free virus software for a while until I got Kaspersky (<3) for Christmas...
