I know games are run by divines in-game sometimes, but has any player came up with a good game you can play, me and a few other came up with in-game truth or dare, but that is hardly original, so have any of you came up with one original game?
That was a bit of a mouthful.
Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you're going to miss it.
For the people who arent into bloody murder all the time, try hide the torch?
You take a random torch, dont give anyone the number, and hide it somewhere.
Takes alot of running around, but still.....I enjoyed that back in the day.
Let people look for it and ofcourse check the number so you know they brought the right one.
I'm a bit too new to know... are there dice in the game? Or cards? If those items existed and had the most basic of functionality, players could invent countless games or adapt existing ones.

There are dice, yes. In the Dice Den, the back room of Forloch's inn. Problem is, the dice can only be used for that one game...
Minstrel Sharallin sings: "The lord of revenants is a withered man, sunken by age and evil. But his blood is sweet, say the young men - and they should know?"
Jaethor, God of Enlightenment tells you, "((Stop breaking Akanbar.))"
And it is EXTREMELY difficult to win at... I don't know of anyone who's walked away with a net gain.
Also i support the idea of card games, i'd love to play Akanbar's version of blackjack.

Is that because you can count cards?

Unless specifically told the amount of cards, you can't count cards on a MUD's version of blackjack. And seeing as they'd probably just run the function over and over instead of continuing through all fifty-two cards(if there were indeed 52), it'd be even worse, if not impossible.
Isn't counting cards in blackjack just a natural conclusion of the game? Not that I condone it, it just think its just kind of an 'unintended' part of the game. Though I'm also certain there's a similar method to the dice game, how to figure that out I haven't learned yet.
I'd pay a lot for a playable chess set in Akanbar. It'd do awesome text messages when you kill a chess piece too... like 'the Knight swings a flail at the Rook, crushing mortar and stone.' or 'The Rook topples over the Knight, crushing him with his immense weight.'
But yeah... a magical chess set! Would so play that... Screw challenges of physical might. It's all about the king of games: Chess. o_o Imagine having a chess game with Lord Zycandos n' stuff. -drools-

Stop getting your ideas from Harry Potter.
