  • The end of the occupation of Golgonath & Treaty

    Section: Main
    Message 610 out of 610.

    Date: 19-11-2009 at 10:56.
    From: Zycandos, God of Creation.
    To: Everybody.
Subj: The end of the occupation of Golgonath

All three copies of the treaty which ends the occupation of the
Empire of Golgonath by the Republic of Elysium and Forest City of
    Ysallyra have now been signed.

The terms in this treaty are to be followed by all whom they apply
to. All the Gods in Akanbar will be enforcing these terms, and
be the final arbiters of any disagreements or clarifications that
    need making.

All three signed treaties are available to view in the Library at
World's End. This means that from today, the 1st of Astuaet in the Year
326, the terms of the treaty are deemed to be in force and all
occupying armies are to be immediately withdrawn and allowed to do
    so peacefully.

    Zycandos, God of Creation

Upon a sheet of parchment, you read:
Following the successful joint occupation of the Empire of Golgonath by the
Republic of Elysium and the Forest City of Ysallyra, this treaty sets
forth the agreements between all three cities for the end of the
    occupation and cessation of hostilities.

Elysium, Ysallyra and Golgonath hereby agree that for a period of not
less than 6 years, there will be no troop attacks on any city. For
the same period there will also be no disguising or raids into the
cities. For these 6 years, Golognath is forbidden to occupy any
villages by force. There will be no felling of trees by any Golgonian
for the same time within Ysallyra.

For a period not less than 4 years, Golgonath may not donate to any
village west of the Central Crossroads.

For a period of not less than 3 years, there is to by no raiding of
    towers by any city.

Golgonath also agrees to not attack any beings that are loyal to, or
quest in any of the villages west of the Central Crossroads for a
period of one and a half years.
    \
For the same period, all citizens of Ysallyra and Elysium will be
unenemied. Any Ysallyran or Elysian who initiates an attack on any
player or being inside Golgonath, or makes an overtly hostile act
such as attempting to break into a shop will be exempt and can be
enemied once more. Those unenemied are not to be re-enemied all at
once when the time period is over, it should be done on an as needed
basis by those who deserve it according to the city rules. This does
not affect the ability of Golgonians to attack Ysallyrans or Elysians
inside Golgonath if they choose to do so, regardless of enemy status.

Citizens of Ysallyra and Elysium are not to be attacked when marching
armies used in the occupation back to their city. All other troop
movements are subject to the normal rules.

Golgonath will pay in tribute to Elysium 730 glass, 1053 salt,
1080 yeast, 1490 arnica and 2767 gold coins.

Golgonath will pay in tribute to Ysallyra 711 stone, 193 mithril,
182 Silk, 9336 wood and 2767 gold coins.
One day I won't suck. Today is not that day.

Six years of peace, time to get out there on the farms and mines and in the forges.

      4th Document

I noticed there is also a fourth document besides each city's signed copies, so here that is.

Upon a sheet of parchment, you read:
Citizens of Golgonath are not to be found questing with or bashing any person
or creature living in or native to the following villages:

      Travanok
      Forloch
      Marinford
      Haddam
      Bugia
      Ischla'Os
      Monadh-Dach
      Avenwold
      Dassa
      Carmena
      Charlotte Mayfair

        And then this one too....

Upon a sheet of parchment, you read:
Anyone who thinks Travanok is west of the crossroads needs a new compass
We don't need no water, ....

A very small portion of it seems to be.

Travanok is west of the crossroads. Alhazar's shop, the location directly south of that, and what would be the pawn shop, then west of the pawn shop is Mergon's, and north of Mergon's is another road location in travanok.

            Also.

            It doesn't matter.

As you'll see Travanok on the website map seems to be east of the crossroads.

And, there's not one road from Travanok, but TWO. The other one goes straight to (some random village), FIGURE THAT.

Also, there's a place called NEW ARMANOST.

Also, the jungle is SOUTHEAST of Golgonath and the road east of Mordi's cave cuts off to NOWHERE.

                Good call.

Edit: Also, Baresh is nowhere to be found.

                    Yea. It recently ended.

Except Golgonath didn't want to go to war cause they didn't have enough fighters,
Ysallyra was pretty much itching to go to war, but their population has died down a lot
And Elysium is pretty much just chilling, not wanting to look like the bad guys.

Now, Golgonath doesn't care (from what I've heard), Ysallyra is... still itching? I don't know. And Elysium is like "ahh, where'd I leave my beer?"
Sir Ichiban drools all over himself.
                    You say, "Ready? Ready?"
                    You say, "Go get it!"
You throw a light crystal to the up.
                    You have recovered balance.
Sir Ichiban is no longer following you.
Sir Ichiban has just ridden up, astride a warhorse.

I'm fairly certain you left that beer in your backside, although it could have been your horse's. Its hard to tell the difference between the two as you ride past.

                        1. Templars aren't allowed to drink
                        2. Why are you staring at my behind?
                        3. Why are you staring at my horse's behind?
                        4. I fully understand that it's hard to tell the difference. Maybe if you slipped your nose out of other people's rear ends, you'd have better visibility.

I love how the relevance of all of the newer posts is an absolute zero.

                            In pretty much every thread.
Zycandos and Jaethor's karaoke rendition of 'I Feel Pretty'.

Jaethor goes solo with 'The Sound of Music'.

Minstrel Sharallin sings: "The lord of revenants is a withered man, sunken by age and evil. But his blood is sweet, say the young men - and they should know?"
