Posting the Perfect BB

What better way to start off this forum, than by following the guidelines completely and helping people post the perfect in-game BB.

Many struggle to get their paragraphs looking right. The easiest way to ensure they look right, is to use the guide at the top of each BB:

Begin typing your line, and when you believe it is the same or less length than
the guide, press the enter key to submit that line. If every line is kept less than the
guide, your post will come out perfectly.

There are a few things that may hinder you, if you have changed your default fonts. It is best to always use a fixed width font, that is one where an i takes up the same width as an m. Also, it is advisable to use the same font point size for both the line where you type, and the output from Akanbar. Lucida Sans or CourierNew are good examples of fixed width fonts. Those who have not changed their font settings should not normally need to worry about this, though it is best to check if you are having trouble.

While we're on the topic -
Is there any way to disable split-paragraphs while posting? It can be tedious to copy a post into the client line-by-line, and pasting in an entire paragraph usually puts a split in an aesthetically awkward place.

To be completely sure, you have to define your own splits. Ideally by using the method above. Though if you prefer composing your BB in another program before hand, try to use a method that'd have similar results.

For example, if your editor has a character ruler option, turn it on and terminate your lines before 80 characters.

Or if you're using notepad, perhaps copy & paste the guide from the BB into the top line, then type your post below it. Hitting the enter key at the end of each line prior to the end of the guide. If you do the same in MS Word, you'll want to use a fixed width font as you would if entering it direct in zmud. (notepad usually defaults to one, which makes it a bit easier).

Then you just copy & paste the whole lot into your BB. Because it was written with manual line breaks, that's the way it should copy in, and you'd effectively be doing the same as the above method as far as Akanbar is concerned.
