Hello, all. As you may have noted, I've taken the liberty of crawling back out of that crack between the wall and floorboards to blah blah enlighten blah blah words. Long story short, I'm back. Again. So let's touch base a bit, shall we? If you happen to be at all interested, I've come up with a few short questions for you all to answer in the comments below. Based on responses and the discussions sparked, I will formulate a proper follow-up blog positively stuffed with all of the intrigue, wisdom and general bitchitude that you all know and love/hate.
Let's begin!
Q1: How many events have you personally experienced that have lent themselves to the progressing storyline of Akanbar? (none, a few, many, etc.)
Q2: Are there any aspects of Akanbar's backstory that you feel are under-represented?
Q3: If you could choose one piece of history to see picked back up and continued on with, which would it be?
Q4: Are you in favor of events that pertain to a subset of players (your guild or city) or involve the whole of the game?
Q5: Who is your favorite historical figure in Akanbar, and why?
Though it is hard to remember, I know at least a few off hand that I've been a part of and I am certain there is more that I can't quite remember. If you count the changing landscape, then definitely yes...Remember when the desert used to be east of Kervoza?
Q2: Are there any aspects of Akanbar's backstory that you feel are under-represented?
The relationships between the villages and the villages in general. For places like Dassa, we can assume that they built their because it was close enough to Elysium to feel safe, but for places like Kervoza? Or why hasn't Forloch progressed further into the forest of Ysallyra by now?
Q3: If you could choose one piece of history to see picked back up and continued on with, which would it be?
Unsure. May come back and change after some thought.
Q4: Are you in favor of events that pertain to a subset of players (your guild or city) or involve the whole of the game?
Both are needed, I think, to draw people in and keep them involved.
Q5: Who is your favorite historical figure in Akanbar, and why?
Unsure/Unable to pick one for any reason.
a few, and probably some I can't remember.
Q2: Are there any aspects of Akanbar's backstory that you feel are under-represented?
definitely. though I think I will attribute that to my lack of historic knowledge. :/ most of what I do know is from the world-send Library. I agree with Dimetrius about the sleeping Imperial dragons. I know there has to be more than Mordikhan.
Q3: If you could choose one piece of history to see picked back up and continued on with, which would it be?
Personally I would like to see the Bathair sect to be continued, or reappear, something like that.
Q4: Are you in favor of events that pertain to a subset of players (your guild or city) or involve the whole of the game?
honestly, I feel like even if an event starts out as a city event, it ends up being globally felt in some way or another. I like both, but I seem to like the ones that start out as a city/guild based events, then end up involving everyone else because of the results.
Q5: Who is your favorite historical figure in Akanbar, and why?
Silverdirk! so much mystery surrounding what happened to that person.
