  • Temporary Bug Thread - No, it apparently can't wait.

    I really hate to do this, but I have to. I'm tired of losing points. I've done the task several times, and searched the entirety of the alley, including all of the shops. I cannot locate a merchant. I see no merchant. There is no merchant. -exasperation-Am I missing something here? Is the ingredient stocked in an actual shop? I just don't understand...
    (Sorry, sorry, sorry...if you wish, the thread can be deleted once this is cleared up. I'm just immensely frustrated.)

    Kargoth, the Crafter tells you of a famous travelling merchant that's come
    across a special ingredient. Sending you off to Valtor Alley, Kargoth, the
    Crafter instructs you to PURCHASE INGREDIENT every time you see a merchant
    near that area selling that ingredient. He hands you a small pouch of gold
    for you to purchase the ingredients with.

    Large entrance hall
    Passing through the great double doors of the Crafters' Guild, you have
    entered an immense entrance hall, its roof vaulted high overhead and lit with
    huge chandeliers. Massive buttressed columns inlaid with gilt mark out a
    broad carpeted aisle through the middle of the hall, and the wealthy senior
    members of the guild pass along this, completely ignoring the apprentices and
    slaves who toil, heavily laden, along the dimly-lit outer reaches beyond the
    columns.   You can progress northeast, southeast (an open door), southwest
    (an open door) and northwest (an open door).

    You pass through an open door.
    Before the Halls of the Crafters
    You stand in an open area before a large granite building, its vaulted roof
    towering far overhead, while the front wall of the building stretches away to
    the northwest and southeast. Before you, a pair of enormous double doors
    provide access to the interior of the building, while further to the
    southeast a further gate can be seen that seems to provide access to a yard
    of some form. Worked into the stone above the entranceway is a large gold
    disc, worked so as to resemble a gold coin of Golgonath, right down to the
    demon's head at its centre. To the southwest a further gate leads through a
    low outer wall onto Valtor Alley. Hung on a nearby pole, a basket of flowers
    sways slightly in the breeze, filling the area with a sweet scent. Firmly
    planted in the ground, a large wooden pole stands tall here. You can progress
    northeast (an open door), southeast, southwest and northwest (an open door).

    Valtor Alley
    To either side of Valtor Alley tall buildings tower above you, their upper
    floors almost touching overhead. Along the alley in both directions this lack
    of space is greatly reduced however, the northwestern route opening out as
    Valtor Alley meets with another street, while to the southeast a large
    building is visible to one side of the road, its front rising straight up
    from the street without any trace of the overhang common to nearly every
    other building along the alley. You can progress northeast, southeast,
    southwest (an open door) and northwest.

    Junction in Valtor Alley
    As it continues to wind its way through Golgonath, Valtor Alley intersects
    with another street here, seemingly even narrower than Valtor Alley itself,
    the buildings to either side overhanging to such an extent that they all but
    meet in the centre, turning this side alley into little more than a gloomy
    tunnel. The main thoroughfare of Valtor Alley continues to the west and
    southeast, twisting as it does so, blocking any chance you had of seeing what
    lies ahead. You can progress north (an open door), northeast, southeast and
    west.

    Weaver's store
    Hanging on mannequins in this shop are clothes of the finest cut, fashioned
    from both common materials such as wool and more exotic materials such as
    silk, perhaps imported from some distant island by the merchants that ply the
    oceans of Akanbar. The clothes themselves seem to cover a wide variety of
    needs, from evening dresses for the women among the ruling classes of the
    city to the black robes of the Pyromancers. In the rear of the shop a small
    man sits on a stool, his fingers busily working at a new garment, whether for
    general sale or to meet an order from a rich client you cannot tell. You can

    Junction in Valtor Alley
    As it continues to wind its way through Golgonath, Valtor Alley intersects

    noise of metal ringing on metal as the smith inside labours to produce
    sufficient arms for the forces of the city. Elsewhere, the alley continues to
    the southwest and east, more shops visible along its length. There are two
    guards of Golgonath here. A Pyromancer stands here, his face hidden by the
    cowl of his black robe. You can progress east, southwest and northwest (an
    open door).

    Blacksmiths of Golgonath
    This shop is considerably larger on the inside that it appeared from the alley
    outside, its rear wall having been removed to give access to a wide yard
    behind. Lining the walls of the shop are the various weapons needed to equip
    the armies of Golgonath, great suits of black armour arranged in preparation
    for a call from the blacksmith's master, while various blades line the other
    wall, many carrying additional spikes along their length designed to cause a
    more slow and painful death than a conventional sword could provide. A large
    forge stands to one side. An anvil sits here. You can progress southeast (an
    open door) and down (a closed door).

    End of Valtor Alley
    Valtor Alley terminates here at the entrance to the Victory Square, its
    enclosed space standing in marked contrast to the openness of the square to
    the southwest. To either side of the alley the various buildings have been
    constructed close together, so that only a narrow strip of skylight is
    visible overhead. Hanging from many of them are signs proclaiming various
    goods for sale, marking this as the closest thing to a merchants district as
    Golgonath has. You cannot see how many shops lie along it however, for the
    alley soon twists away on a new course, passing out of your field of vision.

    and doublets the shop has to offer. The only other space in the shop is given
    over to a wooden counter that runs along the back wall, providing a place for
    the tailor to count up the gold paid for his goods. A serf of Golgonath
    stands here, his eyes cast towards the ground. You can progress northeast (an

    Valtor Alley

    that seems surprisingly out of place amongst the narrow shops that flank it.
    Rearing above you, this structure has been constructed out of solid obsidian,
    statues of demons flanking the entranceway, and you can only assume that this
    grandeur must mark a government building of some form. The doors stand open
    however, seeming almost to invite you in, something you cannot help but feel
    wary of. You can progress northeast (an open door), southeast, southwest (an
    open door) and northwest.
    As you arrive at Valtor Alley, a nearby consumer excitedly tells you about a
    merchant selling rare ingredients nearby. He tells you to PURCHASE the
    INGREDIENT when you see a merchant selling it.

    Smoke filled shop
    This small shop is dominated by a large cauldron, that bubbles away in the
    centre of the floor, the multi-coloured smoke coming from it a sure sign that
    these are the premises of an alchemist. Chained to the cauldron is a wretched
    looking man, clad only in rags who stirs the glowing contents of the cauldron
    continuously, only pausing to let out a wracking cough, perhaps an indication
    that prolonged exposure to these fumes is not in the interest of one's
    health, and perhaps the reason that the alchemist himself delegates the
    stirring to a slave. Lining the walls of the shop are glass cabinets, each
    one filled with small bottles, their multi-hued contents standing out against
    the dark wood, from potions as black as night to others that glow with a
    strange inner fire. You can progress northeast (an open door) and down (a
    closed door).

    Golgonath Trading Centre
    In contrast with the outside of the building, the inside of this structure is
    small and cramped, the ceiling so low that you would be wary of standing
    erect lest you hit your head on it. It is almost as though the designer had
    felt a need to impress those that pass by, while having little regard for
    those that actually worked here. Stacked around the walls are crates and
    sacks of various size, containing the various raw materials for sale here and
    each marked with the seal of the Master of Golgonath. Situated near some of
    these crates is a wooden table, a small wiry man sat behind it conducting the
    business of the trading centre, several assistants standing nearby to carry
    any goods sold to waiting carts outside. It is only on closer inspection of
    them that you notice chains around their ankles however, suggesting that they
    are not working here willingly. There are thirteen mercenary guards here. You
    can progress northeast (a closed door) and southwest (an open door).

    what appears to be a shop of some kind squashed between two houses on the
    southwest side of the street, its windows covered in a thick layer of dust
    that makes it all but impossible to see inside. The alley itself stretches
    away to the northwest and southeast, a particularly large building visible
    just a short way along the northwestern route. You can progress northeast (an
    open door), southeast, southwest (an open door) and northwest.

    Small store
    This tiny shop is filled with all manner of items, from tin cups to
    tinderboxes, its goods stacked in haphazard piles on both shelves and the
    floor, many stacked up to block the windows in the northeastern wall,
    although given the thick layer of dirt coating the glass you doubt that
    moving these items would provide any more light. The rest of the shop seems
    to be no cleaner than the windows, the layers of undisturbed dust suggesting
    that the owner of this shop does not receive many customers. In one corner of
    the room a narrow spiral staircase leads to a wooden door high in the western
    wall, while a further door to the northeast provides access to Valtor Alley.

    Valtor Alley

    Metal workshop
    This sturdy building has thick wooden walls, reinforced with metal brackets to
    ensure anything less than an iron battering ram could not break through the
    walls. Several metal stands have been spaced wide apart to allow displays of
    full sets of armour and two large racks hold a large variety of available
    weapons, while some raw ore has been set on a table near a whetstone, small
    slivers of metal embedded into the floor beneath it. An iron-reinforced door
    leading to a back room has been bolted and locked leaving the entrance into
    this shop as the only exit. You can progress northeast (a closed door) and
    southwest (an open door).

    Valtor Alley

    The buildings that overhang Valtor Alley suddenly give way here to an open
    space in the southwestern side of the street, the broad route of Hergazo Road
    visible for quite some distance in that direction. Away from the junction,
    Valtor Alley stretches to the northwest and east, its buildings rapidly
    obscuring the sky from view once more. You can progress east, southwest and
    northwest.

    You take some flint, steel and kindling from your tinderbox. Striking the
    flint and steel together you rapidly manage to light the kindling with a few
    sparks. Touching the kindling to a torch you soon have it burning.

    Valtor Alley
    You can see by the light of a torch you carry.
    The buildings which line Valtor Alley seem to draw in even closer at this
    point, so that the alleyway itself narrows to only half its usual width.
    Overhead the buildings that are always close to each other along the length
    of the alley finally meet, forming a single building, turning the alley into
    more of a tunnel for a short distance in both directions. As if acknowledging
    the difficulties this may cause, several sconces have been affixed to the
    walls of the buildings, although somewhat unfortunately none of them contains
    a torch to light the way. A mercenary guard stands here, bristling with
    weapons. You can progress southeast and west.

    its route only visible for a short distance in either direction before once
    again being lost to sight. On the northern side of the street a shop stands
    between the neighbouring buildings, a sign outside carrying the simple sign
    of a mortar and pestle, easily recognisable as the mark of an apothecary. You
    can progress north (an open door), east, south (an open door) and northwest.

    Within the apothecary
    The walls of this shop are covered in bottles and jars of all kinds, various
    coloured liquids swirling with them while further shelves hold salts and
    powders of many types. In the centre of the room stands a wooden table, the
    apothecary himself busily grinding some herbs in a stone mortar as he
    prepares some further goods for sale, occasionally stopping to speak to a
    customer. From the reaction customers give him however it is clear that his
    profession is not held in high regard by his fellow citizens, those that live
    within Golgonath having little use for healers. You can progress south (an
    open door) and down (a closed door).

    End of Valtor Alley
    Valtor Alley terminates to the east here, opening out into a broad square.
    From your position within the alley mouth you can safely observe the square
    without fear of being seen by any but the most sharp eyed individuals, the
    shadows cast by the buildings to either side keeping the alley in a state of
    perpetual gloom. Crossing the square you can see several people, making their
    way between the various exits visible between buildings, yet as they pass
    they all stop near the centre of the square, pausing to look at a series of
    gibbets arrayed here for all in the city to see. You can progress east (an
    open gate) and west.

    A merchant nearby yells loudly that her wares would better sell in another
    city. After packing up her supplies, she angrily storms out of the market,
    leaving you with the feeling of disappointment. Slowly, you realize your
    failure on the task.

    Shown to Shax as not to be a bug. Some guild tasks are difficult. Some are easy.
    Tick tock goes the clock until you feel my ire. You'll lose your voice and turn to rock and lose what you desire.

            Greets, Dimetrius's bug has been fixed and turned out to be a large bug syndicate spawned from the Murandi Tribe trades. The trading system there should no longer be bugged (items weren't getting destroyed).

                  I didn't check. that is possible though. didn't know that the entrance collapsing killed the whole mine, but it makes sense. I usually don't stay in mines that long but I was running my mouth so... just need to remember to shore the entrance so it last longer than a day. so I guess this isn't a bug after all. :/

                    Pretty sure the following is a bug, since my memory has this never being able to happen. Could certainly be wrong! In brief, August started using the intonation shield and Mordikhan stopped attacking. Included where it was hitting me, switched targets to him.

                      Bug - It has been confirmed to me that Shadow Gating is now possible in the presence of a Warden. It 'used' to be possible back when I was a Forsaken to shadow slip away from a Warden as well. However, after a very short time (less than a week) this was fixed, as well as the Shadow Gating. So, I beg the question, Is Shadow Gating being returned so that one can now escape with that? Or, is this a bug.

                      I'd Also request a Divine speak to me about my post that directly relates to this Bug which is posted in the Guild Forum.

                              I don't really thing this is a bug so much as someone being out of place....
